About the Place
If you find yourself wandering the vibrant streets of Legian, Bali, don’t miss the culinary gem known as Warung Asia Thai Food. Nestled at Jl. Werkudara Jl. Double Six No.5, this restaurant invites diners to experience a mouth-watering journey through authentic Thai cuisine, all while enjoying the unique ambiance of its bamboo architecture.
From the moment you step in, you are greeted by the warm smiles of the staff, who are as passionate about food as they are about providing excellent service. The reviews from guests truly speak volumes. A returning visitor, B Willy, shares their delight in the classic Masaman curry and the fresh, crisp spring rolls, complemented by a cold beer — the perfect way to unwind in a tropical paradise. Taste and value come together in this charming location, where every dish is a testament to the rich flavors of Thai cuisine.
For those looking for a more relaxed evening, James McKay's experience highlights how the downstairs dining area presents a casual atmosphere, while the upstairs offers a more sophisticated, yet still inviting, setting. Both areas maintain the same high standard of food quality and service. Guests rave about the generous portions of every meal, making it a culinary delight for all appetites. Many diners, including Silvia Bgirl Danger, praise the attention to dietary needs, ensuring a memorable, safe dining experience.
Warung Asia Thai Food not only prides itself on its delightful offerings such as the Tom Yum soup — universally acclaimed as the best in the area — but also on the freshness of their ingredients. Customers can't help but celebrate dishes like Pad Thai and the sweet finish of mango sticky rice. Exceptional flavors are met with comfortable, clean surroundings, as noted by many patrons, which adds to the overall allure of dining at this remarkable restaurant.
However, do take note that some guests have mentioned a desire for an expanded cocktail and wine selection, as well as a need for quicker service during busy nights. Yet, the fond memories created here overshadow such minor inconveniences elaborated by guests like Nicola Zivotska.
In conclusion, whether you're a local or a traveler seeking a taste of Thailand on the island of Bali, Warung Asia Thai Food delivers a memorable dining experience filled with flavor, culture, and hospitality. It’s a place that not only serves meals but crafts experiences, making you want to return time and again. Don't miss your chance to savor their delicious offerings — your taste buds will thank you!
“ So good to come back to this great restaurant I used to go to it when it first opened opposite the current location years ago. Masaman curry and fresh spring rolls were great, cold beer and friendly service. Love the bamboo architecture too 5 ⭐ ”
“ Delicious food. Beautiful spot. Had dinner upstairs and then downstairs for a game of pool. It was a nice night. Definitely recommend ”
“ I’m a professional server and these guys ding a great service. Bringing meals on a trays and pick it up the same way. Don’t put tray on a table. While taking the orders giving me enough time and not bringing to my back while I’m taking my time. The place is clean. Tables clean, even it’s open air dinning. Food is great!! The best TOM YUM soup in the area!!! Big bowl!!!! Big plates of meals. The biggest we eat for 2 weeks being here. I loved basically all Indonesian choices in the menu. And it’s not high prices too. It’s pretty affordable. So this place is my 5 stars restaurant in the area!!! ”
“ What an incredible experience. The waiter who attended us was incredible. Everything is cooked fresh and they catered for my allergy without any issues and the dishes were incredible. We had the spring roles, noodles, fried shrimps and the tacos. Everything wa delicious. ”
“ Going back to Warung Asia reminds me why I love Massaman Curry as a meal. We had lunch there a week ago and liked the Massaman curry so much we went back for an evening meal. The restaurant is divided into a downstairs (where we had lunch) and a more sophisticated upstairs where we had dinner. The food was the same as was the price, the service was excellent in both places but a little more active and animated upstairs but that most likely was due to the number of patrons. The restaurant probably averaged 30 guests while we were there. Despite the largish number the service was quite quick and efficient. Downstairs reminded me of an aircraft hanger ( a nice one) It was spacious but had more of a cafe feel about it which suited me for lunch. Up stairs displayed very impressive bamboo featured architecture. The roof was vaulted and very high being supported by large bamboo poles whilst the ceiling/roof structure was supported by bamboo battens and a fibrous outer covering. Lighting consisted of fibrous woven coverings over orange muted lighting. It was a lovely arrangement. We will again attend this restaurant and I will update this review. I did note some poor reviews but wanted to experience it for ourselves, and I am pleased we did. Well done Warung Asia. My wife even wanted to buy one of their knives. Sadly they weren’t for sale. ”
